Hey guys,
I've been playing the new campaign mode that was just released with the latest update. So far I'm impressed. Reminds me a lot of Red Baron's campaign in its design and feel. That's a good thing in my book.
One of the aspects of IL2 Sturmovik that I never enjoyed much was the extremely scripted missions, and lack of environment outside the mission parameters.
So far ROF is way better in that regard. There are random flights of enemy and friendly planes, changing weather conditions, interesting mission types… I could go on, but so far I think the phrase "way cool" sums it up best.
Anyone else fired it up yet?
S!

Give it a shot yet Jupes?
I've sort of left it behind for the moment. Only so many hours in the day, and I'm enjoying my time flying multiplayer and improving against real adversaries. I understand there have been some improvements with the latest updates, but I haven't gotten a chance to meddle around and see for myself yet.

My flying time is severely limited still, given my new job…
However, the handful of times I've tried the new campaign mode I've never survived more than 2-3 missions.
Probably a lot like the way it really was!

I've flown 2 missions now – pretty cool (before hospital stay). Now I'm playing catchup again and flying quick missions with Dr1…
